I and my college friends visited to Tioman Island for graduation trip on 25-27 June 2012~
I booked 3D2N Tioman Island Snorkeling Package at Paya Beach Resort a week before and i faced a problem which are the standard lodge and standard chalet are fully booked. So i booked the superior chalet room, 3 person in a room and it cost RM380 per person which included:
- 2 nights accommodation at Paya Beach Resort
- Air conditioned fast ferry (Mersing - Tioman - Mersing)
- Welcome drink
- 2 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 2 Dinner
- 1 Snorkeling trip to Coral Island & Marine Park
Besides, the Salang Pusaka Resort is also a popular resort in Tioman Island. It cost RM350 per pax, for 4 Adult Quad Sharing. It included:-2 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 2 dinners.-4 snorkelling spots on coral island
We traveled to tioman Island by bus and ferry. First,we went to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan bus terminal (Kuala Lumpur). You can go the TBS bus terminal by KTM which is Bandar Tasik Selatan station or by LRT. There are three company offer and provide the bus services to Mersing bus terminal (located at Johor) which are S & S International, Sepakat Linear and Transnasional.
I purchased the bus ticket from Sepakat Linear company that cost RM35 per way that departure at 11pm. It is more comfortable if compare to Transnasional because Sepakat Linear just have 26 seats and the seat can adjust to sleep position so it consider VIP bus. The Transnasional cost rm30 per way. The bus schedule from TBS to Mersing is as following:
9am (Transnasional), 6pm (Transnasional), 10pm (S & S), 11pm (Sepakat Linear), 11.30pm(Transnasional). It take around 5 hours to reach Mersing bus terminal.
We reach Mersing bus terminal at 4am. We need to walk around 7-10 minutes to reach Mersing Jetty. You can see many shops when you are on the way to the Mersing Jetty but it does not open in the middle night. Luckily, a mamak restaurant still open so we were order some drinks and have simple breakfast at there. Besides, we watched the semi-final football match at there too ( English vs Italy).
We left the restaurant and reach Mersing Jetty around 7.30am. You need to go to the agency counter to get the confirmation slip, receipt and 2 ways ferry ticket. Then every visitor need go to the ferry counter to register ( name, passport. no and hotel) to get the official ferry ticket. The earliest ferry is on 9.30am but it departure at 10.30am. The ferry will stop at every resort that located at Tioman Island. It took around 1.45 hours to reach Paya Beach Resort (Tioman Island).
The view of Paya Beach Resort (Tioman Island) is very beautiful. The sea water are crystal clear and suite for snorkeling. We checked in at 12.30pm. Remember register the snorkeling trip at the snorkeling rental shop after check in that located beside the reception. There are 2 snorkeling spots that included in the package which are Renggis Island and Tioman Marine park from 9am-1pm. I suggest you all upgrade the snorkeling trip to 5 snorkeling spot that just need add extra rm30-rm35. Cost of rental for life jacket RM7, mask RM7, fins RM8. It just need to made one time off payment and can use until the day of check out.

- The sea of Paya beach resort are super clear and there are many corals and species live under the sea. So snorkeling lover can direct snorkeling in the Paya beach Resort (Tioman Island).~
- After checked in, photo session began~

- You can travel to other resort by sea taxi cost RM5-20 depends on the distance.
- 1st dinner in buffet style~ There are 10 varieties of food, fruits and dessert. All the dishes taste delicious.
- 2nd day, breakfast~ buffet style~
- After breakfast, heading to snorkeling trip at 9am~
- The 1st snorkeling spot is at Renggis Island (Coral Island). This island got many colorful corals like pink, red, lucifer yellow corals (荧光黄的珊瑚) and so on. Besides, there are many species living there. If you are lucky enough, you might have a chance to see shark but you need to swim far a bit.

- The 2nd snorkeling spot is at Tioman Marine Park. The fishes in Marine park are very huge~ They bite my hands for few times~ n it hurt~. Besides, it don't have any coral at Tioman Marine Park.
- Lunch after snorkeling~ all macam want fall asleep ady~
- Lunch ING~ black peper chicken+ fried egg + dory fish + vegetables + soup~ taste good~

- 3rd day, breakfast in buffet style~ porridge + pancakes + sausages +
eggs + potatoes + fried mee hun + milk tea. love the pancakes so much~
