Pulau Langkawi Trip In Chines New Year 2010

18 February 2010, Sunny Day

On 18 February 2010,I and my lovely family and our neighbor-Ah Chua uncle+his family members were going to Pulau Langkawi for 3 days 2 nights trip. Our safety and intelligent driver was Ah Chua uncle. He drove Extima car and fetch 9 of us included himself~ The Extima was borrowed from Wei Wei's father. Really need to say thank you to my uncle-Ah Po ah Fu because if without the Estima my dad need drive long distance from K.L to Kedah~

Early morning around 6.30am,we have our breakfast in Mamak restaurant just nearby our house. Almost every hour,we stopped in the petrol or rest station. We bought many snacks and fruits. Finally we reached the Kedah Jetty around 1pm(forgot ady, that is 10 months ago) and parked the car in a parking slot which got shed. It just cost RM10 per day. Damn cheap~ Then we menaik ferry to Pulau Langkawi jetty. It took about 45minutes to reach to Pulau Langkawi jetty. We rented a 7 sitter car which RM250 per day(damn expensive!!!May be is super peak season CNY).

Besides, we checked in at 3pm. We stayed in Langkasuka Resort cost RM250 per night. It is worth than RM250. I strongly recommends you guys lives in Langkasuka Resort. The environment is great because it just located beside the beach but is far from town. Most the visitors are foreign; some of them from China, Australia and many 'Gui Lou'. If you decided to stay overnight at there, you must have extra budget. It is because must have at least 2 persons eat the dinner buffet that is cost RM50 per pax at least one time. Example, 5 person live in a room and stay in the resort for 3 days and 2 nights. Then at least 2 persons eat the dinner buffet in the resort either on 1st night or second night (just need eat once only, no need every night having the dinner buffer at there).

Furthermore, the dinner buffet is worth more than RM50 because the tastes of the food are damn delicious. It just have few variety food to choose, example: BBQ chicken wings(super delicious, the ingredient is very special even yummy than many restaurant in K.L and cant even find the same taste in K.L), Tatar source dolly fish( I still remembered how it tastes like..Yummy. I finished 2 whole big slices. hihi), grilled lamb chop (juicy and delicious. My brother ate 10 of it), dessert, fruits and so on. Actually got 10++ main meals to choose but I forgot what it was already…. The food is perfect, the service is good and environment of the restaurant is nice and romantic especially when the sunset. You can meet a lot of foreign when u having your dinner buffet there.

The second day, we joined a snorkeling trip at Pulau Payar. It cost RM200 per person. You can books the trip in the resort’s lobby. They offer other packages too. We decided to choose this package because we all are snorkeling lover and we never travel Pulau Payar(Island) before. They will send a bus to fetch you all to the jetty. Please don’t be late because the bus would not wait for you. We missed the bus, therefore we need drive all way long to jetty by ourselves. Actually we get prepared on time but we waited at the lobby there. We thought the agent will meet us at lobby but actually the bus was stopped in front of the parking slot there. The ticket stated the jetty will departure at 9pm and will back on 3pm, However, because of the bad habit and culture of Malaysian may be foreign also….(Malaysian always have the bad habit of coming late. Why they can’t just come on time? They won’t feel any embarrassing to cause a problem to others?) The jetty departure at 11am>>> It delays for 2 hours and because of the delaying, it shorten the time that we spend on Pulau Payar. Almost half of the travelers are foreigner (China and many Gui Lou). A lot of people stay on the deck. Some muscles man was enjoying the sun bath: some was busying to take photos. This trip is including a lunch (just a piece of fried chicken, an orange, cup cake and mineral water), snorkeling mask (for the person who need wearing power mask, need pay RM40), life jacket and fins. It takes almost 45 minutes to reach Pulau Payar. We reach Pulau Payar at 11.50am.

OMG~ The environment of the Pulau Payar is so beautiful and amazing… The sea water is super clear and we can saw tan of fishes and many small and medium size sharks swimming in the sea even from jetty. It proves that the clearance of the sea water. I felt very excited and I quickly jumped into the sea. There are many types of marine fish. The most special thing in this island is there are many small and medium size sharks. At first, I felt little nervous to swim with sharks because some of the shark is quite in big size. It is a good chance to experience swim with sharks. Gosh, it felt great to swim with the sharks. I and my brother chased a small shark together. We swam quite far away from beach. We were snorkeling in the sea for 2 hours. We all eat our lunch at 2pm except my sister. At first, we thought my sister TOO LOVE and TOO ENJOYING the sea. But she spends too long time in the sea already. We decided go to SAVE her. My brother swam to find her. HAHAHAH, U knows what….. Actually she do not have energy to swim back (She do not know how to swim and she really swim with snail speed..hihii). She became dark as Malay girl. I think her skin darker 4 tones. After having the light lunch, we continue snorkeling in the lovely sea. I had fallen in love with this Island. At 3pm, the crews asked us back to the ferry. We reach the resort at 4.30pm. We planned to pay a visit to sky bridge at 6 pm but it was too late because it close on 6pm.

After taking bath, we have our dinner at a restaurant that located just beside the Eagle Square. The price is cheap and the taste is very delicious. If you have limited budget, please do not order fish because the fish is costly. We ordered steam fish (RM60), two plates of vegetables, tofu, fried squids, chicken and pork. Total just cost RM120 for 9 people. We walked to the Eagle Square. I have an advice to you, please visit the place before the sunset because cannot shoot clear and nice photo for this travel spot.

On the other hand, we went to the town to buy some souvenir. The alcohol, beer, chocolate, Steel kitchen appliances are super cheap because all is duty free. The price of one can of beer is RM1.70; normal price in whole Malaysia is RM5.80. Therefore, everyone is crazy drinking the beer. I bought a lots of chocolates amount to RM400. Besides, I and my sister are chocolateholic !!!! My mom bought many spoons and Steel kitchen appliances。

It was the last day in Pulau Langkawi. We woke up in the morning and took many photos in the resort. WE back to home at 7pm.

It is a enjoyable and memorable trip. I will definitely pay a visit to Pulau Langkawai again.
